Heartland to Hillary: Quit!

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night asked America to give her advice on what to do now.

My view from the Heartland:

Quit now, Hillary, with your dignity more or less intact.

And I don't say this lightly.

I've been behind your staying in the race.

Until now, now that Barack Obama on Tuesday benefited from a flood of last-minute superdelegates to take a commanding lead in delegates.

So if people really want to go to http://www.hillaryclinton.com/ to give the New York senator some advice, that's fine.

Just make sure the words "quit now" are somewhere in that message.

Then she can work to unite the party behind Obama, as she has promised to do in the past.
